Seed Pod Agility Drill

A dried sweetgum seed pod sat dead center on the concrete sidewalk. Rigid wooden burr. Roughly thirty millimeters in diameter. Instead of rolling past, I decided to test precision tire control. I nudged the sphere forward with the center knobby tread of my front tire. It rolled down the slab with a hollow, rhythmic clicking against the aggregate. Feathering the throttle, I matched its pace at walking speed. At an uneven expansion seam, the pod deflected right toward the grass. I snapped the handlebars left, clipped it back with the side lugs, and recovered the line. Ten yards covered without losing contact. Clean ball control. Agile machine.
