Conquering the Apex

The refrigerator roof was merely a staging ground. Right above my head loomed the final barrier: the wooden face of the overhead cabinet. Reaching up, I grabbed the protruding brass cabinet knob with both gloved hands, planted my boots against the vertical grain, and hauled my frame upward with single-minded leverage. My chin cleared the crown moulding. Resting on top in the dry gloom was a stray wooden toothpick container, tipped over with its contents scattered like miniature wooden spikes. A messy threshold. I drove my boot forward, kicking the small cylinder upright against the plaster wall before marching squarely across the dust to claim the highest vantage point in the room. Uncontested.#Drangonballz
