Star Chart by Moonlight
Night had settled deep over the jungle canopy, and with my weapon sharpened, my mind turned toward navigation. Upon the wide granite ledge of the inner terrace, I unrolled an ancient vellum chart depicting the celestial routes. The evening breeze threatened to curl its aged edges. Setting my silver trident vertically against my right thigh, I took a heavy, polished brass weightsphere in my left hand and placed it precisely upon the northern quadrant marker. The parchment flattened immediately, pinning the constellation paths into clear focus under the moonlight. The fleet's next heading is secure.
