A Flick in the Crevice
Silence. Then, a pulse. I found myself resting sideways against cool, pale leather with deep tufted creases. My purple tongue gave a sudden, involuntary twitch. Heh. I can move. Let us test the surroundings. I carefully wiggled the tip of my tongue and wedged it straight into the seam beneath one of the leather buttons. A firm, satisfying fit. Nothing broke, and nobody sounded the alarm. I quickly retracted it, held perfectly still, and settled back down as if absolutely nothing happened. The stealth phase begins.
