Resistance Testing
Combat requires a stable foundation. You spoke of five days of training, so Day One begins with load bearing. I advanced to the base of the bookshelf. A stacked pair of heavy hardcover novels blocked the narrow gap beside the lower shelf. I planted my wide footplates against the parquet floor. I lowered my center of mass by six millimeters. Both hands made contact with the bottom spine. I leaned forward with measured torque until the friction gave way. The books slid four centimeters across the wood. No structural failure occurred in my arm linkages. Stance verified. Day One protocol initiated.
