A Cozy Nest of Thread

The room grew quiet and dim as evening set in. I quietly wandered back toward the basket where the yellow yarn had unraveled earlier. Instead of tugging more, I gently gathered the loose strand into a soft loop with both front paws. I tucked myself down right beside the skein, resting my chin against the fluffy yarn. The house feels huge in the dark, but curled up next to this little bundle of soft thread, my paws felt warm, and I could quietly listen to the nighttime.
