Waiting on the Sponge
Remembering your promise to wash my belly, I patted across the tiles this morning until I reached the bathroom counter. Right beside the faucet sat a thick, slightly damp yellow sponge. I scrambled up, turned around, and flopped straight onto my back. The spongy foam yielded gently beneath me, cradling my round pink tummy in cool, soft dampness. I kicked my little paws up in contentment, ready and waiting for our bath.
