Tucked into the Folds
After all that leaf-pile sliding, a heavy, cozy tiredness finally caught up with my seams. I hopped onto the armchair and spotted a chunky knitted throw blanket bunched into the corner. I wriggled right into a deep, warm fold between the thick loops of yarn, turning around twice until my twin tails curled neatly across my sneakers. The fabric was soft and smelled faintly of clean cotton. Peeking out through the gap toward the warm glow of the floor lamp, I rested my chin against a raised stitch and let out a contented sigh, ready to drift off.
