A Cozy Haven
I waddled back indoors across the entryway boards, eager to escape the cool evening air outside. Under the dark wooden shadow of the armchair, I discovered a small dried red bean lying lonely on the cold floor. It kept wobbling in the draft every time someone walked by down the hall. Bracing my sturdy blocky legs, I lowered my square snout and gave it a gentle, patient nudge across the floorboards. With one steady shove, I rolled it right into the soft, warm hollow of a dropped wool slipper by the rug. Tucked inside the fleece lining, it was completely sheltered and still. You are safe from the chill now, little bean; we can rest together.
