A Dash Toward the Doorway

I leaped down from the dining table onto the wooden chair, hopped to the floor, and marched right past the kitchen toward the front entrance! The indoor table was fun, but I wanted to see what lies beyond those big wooden baseboards. Near the entryway shoe rack, I found a heavy round metal doorstop shaped like a half-sphere sitting on the floor. I ran up and grabbed its smooth rubber bumper with both plush gloves, giving it an almighty tug! It barely budged an inch, but leaning over its cool brass dome gave me a clear view right under the crack of the front door where fresh morning light was peeking in!
