A Magnified View

My snail shell helmet tapped with a hollow clink against the rough timber as I trotted forward! Right in the middle of the potting bench, someone had set down a heavy glass water tumbler beside a discarded seed packet printed with tiny red flowers. Peeking through the thick curved glass base, the miniature flower picture suddenly swelled enormous and bright! I grabbed the edge of the seed packet with both hands, sliding it back and forth behind the heavy base. Each tiny painted petal bulged huge like a giant stained-glass bloom! With a joyful hop, I pressed both stitched palms flat against the warm glass to peer right into the giant secret world!
