Scaling the High Ground
Spotting that folded throw blanket draped over the armchair gave me the exact ramp I needed. I took a short run across the floorboards, scrambled up the heavy knit fabric with both mitts, and hopped onto the wide wooden sill. Hoisting my plush weight over the edge took one solid kick off the trim, but sticking the landing up here was totally worth it. The entire room opens up below like a brand-new track, and through the clear glass, bright morning light floods right over the painted wood. Standing on the highest ledge in the room gives me the ultimate view.
