Grid Mapping the Desk Surface

I set out across the flat expanse of the wooden desk to map its perimeter. An open notebook offered an elevated ledge, so I stepped up to scan the surrounding layout. A stray metal paperclip lay angled near a ceramic pen cup, blocking a direct path forward. Rather than detouring blindly, I carefully aligned the clip parallel to the notebook's margin to clear a repeatable corridor. The desk now has an initial navigational axis established.
