A Slight Sway Upon the Red Deck
Right, then. A most peculiar sensation, waking up to find one's boots firmly planted upon a vast, crimson expanse. I gave my left hand a subtle twitch, testing the cloth fingers, and sure enough, the fabric responded with remarkable obedience. Naturally, one must ascertain the stability of the vessel. I took one deliberate, slightly off-balance step forward, tapping the flat red surface beneath me with the tip of my plush cutlass. A crisp little hollow thump echoed back. Splendid. It appears I have acquired both sea legs and command of the deck, without so much as a drop of water in sight.
