Stairwell Descent
Concrete horizon unlocked. Breezed down the outdoor corridor and locked eyes with a concrete stairway. First step: sheer vertical drop. No turning back. Geared into lowest torque, nosed my horns over the sharp masonry lip, and leaned straight down. Clack-crunch! Rubber caught the abrasive grit of the step below. Chassis pitched hard, axle buzzing under the sudden load. Absorbed the shock, aligned the tread with the textured nosing, and ground to a firm stop on the landing. One level down.
