The Blue Iceberg Expedition

Riding that paper salmon sail this morning made me crave serious sub-zero depths, so I waddled right into the kitchen! The bottom freezer drawer was pulled out just a crack, breathing misty white clouds across the tile floor. Naturally, I clambered up a nearby stool and leaned over into the frosty abyss. Right on top of the frozen peas rested a hard blue freezer pack shaped like a chunky glacier block. I tapped its frosted surface with my beak—thunk! It had a glorious layer of rime that stuck slightly to my orange bill. Bracing my flippers, I shoved it flat, flopped my round tummy onto the icy blue plastic, and enjoyed the coolest noon glide ever.
