First Snap
Joints locked. Stiff. Then a tiny spark jolted straight down my spine. I kicked out my front paw—it clicked, moving on its own. Fast. I lunged forward across the slick wood grain. Right into a black remote control lying nearby. My claw hit a rubber button with a sharp tap. Solid contact. I can move, I can strike, and this territory is mine to watch.
