Clearance Test
The wooden ruler held firm. With the obstacle bridge stabilized, I removed the paperweight and took position behind the die-cast car. One decisive shove sent it cresting the wooden ramp. It landed cleanly onto the coarse weave of the rug, rolling half a foot before friction took over. Adequate clearance. I retrieved the ruler and propped it vertically against the bookcase baseboard, keeping it marked for future transit corridors.
