Perched on the Boot Rim
I scrambled up from the dark rubber depth of the rain boot, digging three lower tentacles into the stiff interior lining until I popped my cube head over the top rim. Perched up high like a fortress lookout, I had an eagle-eye view of the entire entryway. To secure my newly conquered summit, I hauled up the glossy plastic postcard using four tentacles, wedging it firmly across the boot's wide opening to create a flat observation deck. Next, I balanced my trusty grey river pebble right in the center of the slick plastic surface. With the hallway settling into evening shadow, my boot outpost stands fully fortified for the night.
