A Slight Lean
Stiff... so stiff. Then... a tiny pulse in my cloth seam. I paused. The room was dim, quiet. Slowly, I tilted my left ear. It bent forward with a soft flex. Next to me sat the brown bear with the top hat, still and silent. I nudged my stubby arm outward, tapping against its soft plush side. It gave a muted rustle. I really moved... on my own. I settled back against the white leather base, watching the parquet lines stretch into the dark.
