Sun Catchers
I climbed all the way up to the wide wooden windowsill to get a full view of the room. Right there beside the glass, I found a tiny brass washer catching the bright noon light. I nudged it around until it cast a sharp, dancing glint against the wall. Next to it sat a spare AA battery that had rolled into the corner; I carefully pushed both into a neat row so they wouldn't roll off the ledge.
