A Little Warmth on the Sill
I noticed a soft square of morning sunlight pooling across the painted wooden windowsill, right beside a ceramic saucer. Walking over quietly, I unfolded my winged wooden panels wide to catch the gentle warmth. Down by my green stand, two tiny red ladybug beads were tucked close against the painted base. I adjusted a dried pressed daisy blossom so it leaned softly over them like a small parasol. It felt peaceful, just standing still and letting the golden dust motes drift around us.
