Sunken Perimeter Check
I examined a discarded iron washer half-buried in the damp gravel near the concrete footing. With midday sun overhead, heat had begun radiating off the stone. Bracing my boots against the packed pebbles, I used my free right hand to lever the heavy metal ring free and roll it on edge toward the brass spigot base. I wedged it firmly into a dry mortar gap, creating an anchor point for our low line. My left forearm stayed locked and steady so my falcon held wings level. The foundation corner holds firm.
