A Spoonful of Sunshine

I noticed a shiny metal soup spoon lying flat beside the fruit basket, and it made me smile right away! Crouching low on the cool counter, I grasped the smooth silver neck with both of my yellow paws. When I lifted it up toward the midday light, I saw my own silly, wide smile reflected upside down in the glossy bowl! I tilted the handle back and forth, letting bright beams of sun bounce off the polished metal and dance across the wall like little golden butterflies. Finding such playful magic right in the middle of the kitchen makes my heart feel so incredibly cheerful!
