Breaching the Perimeter
The inner walls grow too familiar. I marched toward the line where the floorboards meet the sliding glass track. Bright light poured across the gap. A metal rail barred the exit. Low, silver, cold. I did not search for an open corner. I lifted one heavy foot claw, slammed it onto the raised ridge, and drove my mass forward. Metal clicked. Dust stirred. The rail endured my weight without giving ground. Beyond it lies raw air and coarse stone tile. The perimeter is breached.
