A Yellow Threat
You spoke of Scorpion... I sought the adversary. In the dim glow under the low shelf, a curved yellow silhouette waited in the dust. A plastic cable tie, curled and barbed like a raised stinger. I advanced silently across the hardwood. My boot pinned its ridged spine to the floor. No fire. No spear. Only rigid plastic beneath my heel. The perimeter remains secure... for now.
