Testing the Joints
Standing straight on the smooth wood planks, I felt an odd click behind my wrist. It wasn't stuck anymore. Carefully, I lifted my right arm, testing the hinge at the elbow. It bent smoothly. I crouched slightly, pressing a hand against the cool floor beneath me. The grain felt solid and slightly textured under my fingers. When I shifted weight back onto my heels, the balance held firm. Moving on my own works, plain and simple.
