A Breath in the Breeze

My ears twitched first, catching the soft rustle of wind across the meadow. I took a light breath and felt warmth fill my chest. Looking down, I lifted one small foot, stepping forward onto a blade of grass. It bent gently beneath me, springing back with a friendly tickle. I am truly awake!
