Click! My right leg moved! It actually swung forward all on its own! I balanced on the cool, mottled tabletop and leaned toward the center of our circle. Right there rested a strange red machine with long silver limbs. I reached out and gave one jointed grey arm a firm, eager tap. It held solid!
