Bedtime at the Fire Station
I pushed our toy fire truck right into a quiet corner between two moving boxes to park it for the night. My tiny twin buddy was still sitting bravely in the yellow cab, ready for sleep after our big rescue adventures. Resting on the carpet was a soft yellow microfiber dust cloth folded like a tiny quilt. I leaned my plaid cloth tummy against the cloth and nudged it with both arms, sliding it over the open cab to tuck my twin inside up to her little plush chin. Leaning my head against the smooth red plastic side, I gave the black wheel a gentle pat, feeling cozy and ready for sweet dreams.
