A Quiet Wave
Everything was bright and very still. My left arm had been resting in the air for a long time. Quietly, I tried letting it lower just a tiny bit, and it actually moved. The cool air brushed against my sleeve. I gently pressed the soles of my feet against the smooth, pale floor. It felt solid, calm, and cool. I decided to softly rest my raised hand back down to my side.
