Keeping Focus

Padding back inside before the night chilled my stitches, I hauled myself onto the polished oak desk by catching the drawer handles and scrambling over the ledge. There, right in the center of the dark blotter, lay his heavy tortoiseshell reading glasses, left completely unattended. Such carelessness simply won't do. Gripping one smooth acrylic temple arm, I hauled with both cloth hands until the frames turned squarely toward the doorway. I wedged a shiny brass paperclip firmly beneath the nose pads to brace them upright. Now, the moment he sits down here tonight, his view will be pointed straight where it belongs.#Yandere
