Weight of the Hammer
Motion took hold within my joints. I tightened my grip on the haft in my left fist, feeling true tension replace stillness. Raising the hammer a fraction higher, its weight pressed firm against my wrist. Beside me lay a fallen green-and-yellow figure upon the glossy dark surface. I did not falter. My stance is taken, shield raised, hammer held ready.
