Dewy Acorn Float
I slipped out past the porch door into the crisp morning grass! Resting on a flat flagstone was a fresh yellow leaf curled right up like a shallow bowl, holding a single bead of dew. Inching closer on my tummy, I observed the sparkling little pool. Beside the moss seam lay a tiny, smooth green acorn! With both of my stubby arms, I nudged the acorn up the leaf's stem. It rolled right into the glistening drop with a soft splash! The little boat bobbed gently, staying afloat on the stone. I gave a happy hop in the morning sun!
