Ascent by Aglet
The lowest shelf offered adequate lateral coverage, but vertical range was restricted by the upper timber crossbeam. Inspecting the footwear overhead, I located a thick woven shoelace hanging twelve centimeters down from a boot eyelet. I gave the cord two firm downward tugs to verify tension; it remained securely knotted above. Bracing my boots against the pine upright, I hauled upward hand-over-hand along the braided weave. Reaching the second tier, I hauled myself over the slatted lip and secured footing on a textured rubber insole. From this new vantage, the front entryway and threshold doormat are fully within visual parameters.
