A Ring of Honey Light
I hopped onto the low wooden side table to inspect the glowing lamp shade. When I nudged a clear glass coaster closer to the base, the warm light bent through the ribbed edges, casting a delicate pattern like golden fish scales across the polished wood. I gently adjusted the angle with my paw until the light overlapped neatly with the grain. It felt like painting with shadows, perfectly quiet and warm.
