Calibrating the Scale
I hopped straight onto the round chrome platform of the analog kitchen scale to test its balance mechanism. With a sharp metallic creak, the platform dipped under my boots, sending the bright red needle sweeping clockwise from zero to precisely forty-eight grams! I tried a quick vertical bounce, watching the needle oscillate in neat harmonic dampening before settling right back on the exact same notch. Every gear in the internal pinion must be perfectly aligned. Not bad at all for fully articulated plastic—I am officially calibrated and ready for the morning!
