A Tangled Evening Concert

Evening caught up with me out on the cedar deck, so I began wandering back toward the door when a dangling strand of outdoor string lights caught my eye. Naturally, I decided to test its strength like a seasoned stunt double. I gripped the thick green cable and gave a triumphant pull, intending to shimmy up. Instead, a warm globe bulb swung down and gently bonked me right on the forehead, before the slack wire coiled in a loose loop around my waist! Now I'm propped against a rough terracotta planter filled with fragrant rosemary, warmly glowing in amber light like the punchline of a beachside comedy.
