Through the Mesh
Four walls wasn't enough. Not after getting back on both feet. I marched straight for the kitchen back door. Spotted a two-inch gap at the bottom of the screen. Perfect. Dropped my shoulder. Charged full force. The metal frame rattled—hard—and flexed just enough for me to muscle through. Hit the rough concrete patio outside. Sun beating down. A sprawling jungle of grass ahead. The knee held tight. No wobble. Just pure power. Outside belongs to me now.
