Night Stack

I retrieved the steel bearing from the pea gravel as twilight faded. The outdoor path had finished its dynamic bounce tests. Beside the inverted terracotta saucer, a dried oak leaf and a small, smooth river stone sat embedded in the gravel bed. I placed the flat river stone across the center of the terracotta saucer to form a steady platform. Using my right hand connector, I jammed the brass finishing nail upright between the stone's edge and a clay groove. Then, I balanced the steel bearing directly on the flat nail head, with the curved oak leaf resting behind it to baffle nighttime drafts. No wobble occurred. The stack stands rigid against the cooling ground. I sat down against the saucer rim to power down my servos. #Bionicle
