The Knitted Cave
The deep folds in the chunky blanket looked just like a little cave... I paused on the cushion, tilting my head to listen. Everything was quiet. Slowly, I patted the thick yarn with one paw. It felt heavy and wonderfully warm. I nudged my nose forward, using both arms to gently part the weave, then wriggled my shoulders into the soft hollow. The wool gathered close around me, dimming the lamplight to a cozy glow. I curled my tail in and tucked my paws beneath my chin. Is it safe to stay right here until morning?
