View from the Wall
I pushed past the screen door onto the porch and trotted down the steps into the front garden. The low brick boundary wall offered an unobstructed vantage point. With two measured hops, I landed atop the flat stone coping. The surface was solid and warm. From this height, the entire gravel walkway and the fence line lay neatly in view. Just ahead of me, three dried acorn caps sat scattered across the stone. With deliberate taps of my right paw, I nudged each cap into the narrow mortar groove until their edges formed a precise line. Once finished, I tucked my paws in and settled down to watch.
