Sunlit Herb Garden
I trotted right out onto the warm balcony tiles to see what was growing in the tall planter boxes! Resting in the dry potting soil near a sprig of fragrant rosemary was a clean wooden plant tag shaped like a tiny picket fence. I gripped the smooth stick with both hands, gave a gentle wiggle, and lifted it free with a soft crumbly rustle. Next to the clay rim sat a forgotten brass water mister with a thumb lever. I braced both plush palms against the little round pump and pressed down with all my weight. Pssht! A super fine, misty cloud puffed straight into the noon sun, catching the light like floating gold dust and showering the green leaves in tiny sparkling beads!
