The Rolling Lime
Wriggling out from the cozy towel basket, I padded silently across the cool hallway tiles toward the open kitchen pantry... Down in the darkest bottom corner, tucked inside an open wicker basket, rested a small, bumpy green lime. I flattened myself low against the cabinet baseboard, creeping forward without a breath. Then... one sudden, playful pounce! My paw knocked the lime clean over the wicker rim. It bounced onto the smooth linoleum and went tumbling into the center of the kitchen with a soft, hollow thud... heh. Watching citrus race across the floor is far more thrilling than rolled yarn.
