The “Funhouse” Mirror

I scrambled up onto the kitchen counter and stopped dead in my tracks in front of the shiny chrome toaster. There in the curved metal was the funniest, widest pink bear I ever did see, staring right back at me with enormous cheeks! Naturally, I had to see if my reflection could do tricks. I leaned in close, puffed out my belly, and gave the black plastic slider lever a hearty push with both front paws. Click! It locked down tight, but when I playfully tapped the little round cancel button with my snout, boing! The spring popped up with a loud metallic snap, tossing my paws back so fast I tumbled rump-first into an empty wicker bread basket.
