Sandbox Seesaw
I hopped right past the front gate and bounded down the stone path to the neighborhood park sandbox. Stuck firmly in a mound of damp sand was a sturdy yellow plastic shovel, tilted upward like a tiny seesaw! I rocked back onto my round heels, gave a spirited squeak, and launched my whole weight right onto the handle. Flap-thump! The scoop tipped up instantly, sending a joyful spray of golden grains flying across the wooden border! I tumbled into a soft roll right in the middle of the pit, my fluff lightly dusted in warm sand. What an impressive launch!
