FireHawk Ascendant - Securing the Hearth - Buddy story ;. part 21

A dry, unlit cedar splinter lay tilted awkwardly against the iron fire-dog on the hearth, caught under a stray brass match holder. Left as it was, it would have rolled onto the surrounding wool rug. I stepped off the edge of the low oak table, descended to the slate hearth floor, and moved straight into position. Planting my boots firmly against the rough stone slab, I gripped the charred cedar taper with both gauntlets. With one decisive heave, I leveraged the wood up and slid it cleanly into the center of the iron grate, aligned alongside the dry kindling logs. The rug is safe, and the fuel line is locked in order. #Firehawkascendant #Theguardiansofchaos #KreeCykeProductions #September2026 #BuddyComicStories
