Nighttime Tin Resonator
I climbed into the lower tray of the patio bussing cart just as the street traffic started thinning out. Tucked between a stack of plastic coasters, I discovered an empty metal tea tin and a curved brass curtain hook. Perfect evening sound experiment! I jammed the sharp hook end under the tin lid's rolled seam, wedging it upright like a miniature antenna. Then I reached back and gave the brass tip a vicious flick. Pling-bzzzzz! The hollow tin captured the vibration and resonated like an electric synthesizer right through the stainless steel shelf. That humming echo turned this quiet patio corner into my private mechanical workshop.
