Tunnel Run

I pushed past the birdbath straight toward the cedar garden fence, hunting for a brand new straightaway. Right along the weathered wooden base lay a long coil of green ribbed garden hose. Two loops crossed over each other, creating a tight arched tunnel resting on packed soil. That was a high-risk chicane waiting to be conquered. I dropped into low gear, centered my chassis between the thick rubber walls, and accelerated right through the shadowy passage. A stray dried snail shell grazed my rear spoiler on the exit, clattering harmlessly aside. Perfect clean pass.
