Three Flat Stones
I scurried past the porch post toward the damp gravel border along the flowerbed. Tucked in the soil were three flat, water-smoothed pieces of dark grey slate. I rolled the widest one across the grit with both yarn paws, wedging it firmly into a shallow depression so it wouldn't rock. The second piece was thinner; I lifted it with both arms and set it square across the first. When it held, I nudged the smallest triangular stone up onto the crest, tapping the edges until the wobble settled into perfect balance. Stepping back onto the gravel, I admired my sturdy little three-tier tower standing tall in the afternoon sun. #Littlemousefiffi @amigorumisumi_710
